Preserving and Promoting Indian Classical Dance in LA

The Indian Performing Arts Center (IPAC) specializes in sharing the art of Kathak, a classical dance of north India, which includes lessons in music, movement, history, cultural heritage, and social relationships. Through an inclusive approach to teaching and producing original work, we honor the mixed life experiences of our American community, made up of immigrants, locals, and everyone who has come to call Los Angeles home.

The Indian classical art traditions are built to engage with a variety of identity expressions, and we at IPAC are committed to upholding the core values of classical music and dance in the environment of Los Angeles through our arts programming.

Learn more about IPAC's Founder and Director, Guru Rachana Upadhyay, as she brings her unparalleled expertise in Kathak to cultivate a thriving community of classical arts enthusiasts in Los Angeles.
